Raanana Hertzeliya Signs Mistie Williams

Raanana Hertzeliya finalized the 07/08 roster by signing forward Mistie Williams of the Houston Comets.
Mistie Williams (6'3, 24) is the 2nd American signed by Raanana Hertzeliya for the upcoming season, after Tanisha Wright. Williams joins Abiola Wabara, Ligita Knikeviciene and Israelis Ornit Shwartz, Chen Nusel and Katia Levitzky (who is officially staying with the team despite the Poland rumors).
Williams was the 21st pick in the 2006 WNBA draft by Phoenix, but was sent to Houston on a draft day trade. In 2007, Williams played in 27 games (6 starts) and averaged 2.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.
Williams spent her college career at Duke, a career that endd in an overtime loss to Shay Doron's Maryland in the championship game. As a senior, Williams averaged 11.4 points and 6.3 rebounds a game and was selected to the All-ACC 2nd Team.
