"Cinderella Season"
Plenette Pierson came up with a fitting definition for Ashdod's season, which ended with a crazy overtime win in game 5 to complete a historic double. All comments from both teams - inside.

History: Ashdod Wins Championship
We couldn't ask for a more fitting finale to such an amazing finals series. Tied at 33 at the break, tied at 58 at the end of regulation, nerve wrecking overtime decided by one offensive rebound by Kolodny who then made two huge free throws to make it 70 – 66 with 4.9 secs left, and set off the yellow celebrations.

Ashdod Spoil Ramla’s Party
The women’s playoffs finals is going the distance for the first time in 5 years, thanks to Ashdod’s huge win in Ramla. Ashdod came back from a 14 point deficit and managed to surpass 60 points for the first time in the series in route to a 67-57 victory. Plenette Pierson, who received the season MVP trophy at the half, carried her team with an impressive performance including 12 points in the 4th quarter to ruin Ramla’s planned celebration.

Ramla's Defense Too Much in Game 3
After game 1, Adan Inbar said he hoped Ramla would be the one to score one more basket. Tonight in game 3 in Ashdod he got his wish, though in this series it makes more sense to ask for one more stop. In another defensive battle Ramla was better through out, led by 10 with 3 minutes to play only to watch Ashdod cut it to 1 but the champs held on, 60 – 58.
No Drama: Ramla Takes Game 2
Tamera Young was named MVP of game 1, but tonight she'll probably have trouble sleeping. Ramla in a game they had to win got Alena Beard in her best game of the season and enjoyed another day at the office from Tanisha Wright to get a convincing 68-60 win.
Game 1: Ashdod Edges Ramla
Game 1 of the Finals provided a real thriller in an excellent atmosphere in Ashdod, who played a great 1st half only to see the lead vanish in the 2nd. Ashdod scored the final four points of the game to get a 58-56 win and a 1-0 lead in the series.
At the buzzer: Ramla returns to the Finals
In an awesome playoff thriller, Ramla & Ramat Hasharon exchanged blows for 40 minutes and Ramat Hasharon was 6 seconds away from a 5th and deciding game. Tanisha Wright stole the inbound play and got a game winning shot to go with 1.5 seconds left to lift Ramla to victory. They will face Ashdod in the finals as a re-match of last season. Game photos
Road Rules: Ramla wins Game 3
Tanisha Wright scored 33 points, 17 of them in the 4th quarter, to lead Ramla to a big 72-67 win at Ramat Hasharon and a 2-1 advantage in the series going into game 4 in Ramla.
Homecourt Disadvantage
Road wins continue to be the story of the Ramla Vs. Ramat Hasharon games. Despite a weak 1st quarter, Ramat Hasharon played one of its best games this year in an 81-69 win over Ramla to tie the series at 1-1. Ramla scored 20 points in the 1st quarter and 21 in the two following quarters.
Semis Game 1: Ramla edges Ramat Hasharon
In game 1 of the playoff semi final best-of-5 series, Ramla already trailed by double figures but came back to win in Ramat Hasharon. Ashdod blew past HaBikaa.
