Ashdod Signs Ayana Walker

Maccabi Ashdod completed their roster for next season with the signing of Ayana Walker, who won Championships with Ramla & Hapeol Tel Aviv.
After signing Brandi McCain & Dionnah Jackson along with a solid Israeli bunch, Ashdod annouced today that they have signed forward Ayana Walker for the 07/08 season.
Last season Walker played the first half of the season in France for Tarbes, and averaged 12.5 points and 7.0 reobunds per game. In her last season in Israel, 05/06, she scored 15.1 points and grabbed 9.1 boards per game and won the Championship with Hapoel Tel Aviv. In 04/05 she played for Ramat Hen (14.8 ppg & 8.8 rpg), and in 03/04 she won the title with Ramla (16.5 & 9.1).
Walker has also won a WNBA title with the Detroit Shock in 2003. She played four seasons in Detroit starting in 2002, and then two more seasons in Charlotte. This summer, after Charlotte folded, Walker was signed by LA but was cut before training camp.
