Brasheeda Elohim to Ramla

An American player of Jewish heritage signed with Ramla for the upcoming season.

Defending champions Ramla signed 5'11 guard Brasheeda Elohim who is reportedly to be Jewish by Ramla, and Ramla expects her to get an Israeli citizenship. Elohim graduated from Fayetteville State University (D2), where she spent the 02/03 and 03/04 seasons after transferring from Maryland East Shore University (D1). Elohim averaged 13.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in her junior year, and 11.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as a senior. She was also an accomplished Tennis player at FSU, earning CIAA Tennis Player of the Year honors in 2004.

This summer Elohim played with Anda Ramat Hasharon in a preseason game against the Washington Mystics. She scored 8 points (1/4 from the field, 6/8 from the line) in 16 minutes. Last season she played in the semi pro league WBCBL in the U.S.
