It looks like the Gourevitch-Jackson saga is close to an end. In a hearing held this morning in the Ina Gourevitch case, the detention court order against Jackson was canceled by the court. In addition, Anda Ramat Hasharon submitted a guarantee of up to 40,000 NIS for if and when a verdict may be ruled against Jackson, as agreed by both parties. Both parties have also agreed to make an effort to settle outside the court.

As reported before, Ina Gourevitch filed a civil suit against Jackson for 80,000 NIS following an altercation between the two following the championship game. Jackson was detained by the police after the incident, an arrest warrant was never issued. Jackson apologized to Gourevitch in person for striking her in the face, and Gourevitch apologized to Jackson for the damage the ordeal has caused her in the States, resulting in her suspension by the Chicago Sky, Gourevitch noted that was never her intention.

Gourevitch's lawyer, Shahar Sror, said after the hearing: "I think what is keeping us from reaching a civil agreement is the objective matter of damage estimation. Ina might need to undergo another surgery, once we have all the medical information we could move things forward".

Solly Laniado, Jackson's lawyer, said: "We leave today with a feeling that both sides have the good of women's basketball and the league's image in mind".
