Tal Natan Goes Orange

Tal Natan, who coached Raanana Hertzelia for the last two years, has signed with Bnei Yehuda.
"I met with all the teams", said Natan. "I felt they really wanted me and that did it for me, when you're wanted you're willing to do extra things for the team".

Bnei Yehuda didn't wait long after Meir Elyaho left for Holon, and signed Tal Natan about 24 hours afterwards. Last season Natan had an injury plugged season in Raanana Hertzelia, and finished 6th with a 10 – 13 record. The year before Raanana Hertzelia and Natan were edged out of the playoffs and finished with a 12 – 9 record. In 03/04 & 04/05 Natan coached Elizur Ramla and won two Championships and a Cup.

As you might remember, this past season Bnei Yehuda had an incredible second half of the season and finished 3rd. "We hope he'll take us one step further, from 3rd to 2nd, we're modest", said Bnei Yehuda Chairmen, Itzik Milshtain to 'Safsal' following the signing.

"I'm joining a leading club in women's basketball in these last few years. A club where many very good coaches have passed, and it's an honor for me to join the Bnei Yehuda family", said Natan. "I'm excited, and I haven't been excited in a while, because I think it's a possibility to do great things. There are great people around. Talking about goals right now is a little too early because the budget is unclear".

Two players from last season are signed to continue next year – point guard Ayelet Cohen (21) who averaged 7.3 points per game, and forward Crystal Johnson (26) who averaged 14.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game last season. "Ayelet is staying, and Crystal is also signed", said Natan. "She had a great season. Both of them were good and if you prove yourself you should continue. They were an important part of Bnei Yehuda's successful puzzle last season", he added.
