Jia Perkins had to stay in the United State with her ill father, so Raanana Hertzeliya had to bring in a point guard in her place. The team signed Australian play maker Jae Kingi-Cross for the remainder of the season.

Raanana Hertzeliya signed veteran Aussie point guard, Jae Kingi Cross (5'8, 31). Cross played five seasons in the WNBA, she was the 22nd overall pick by the Detroit Shock in the 2001 WNBA draft and averaged 5.8 points and 2.6 assists in 21.1 minutes per game. After her rookie year Cross didn't play in the WNBA for two seasons, and returned in 2004 to the Phoenix Mercury. She spent the 2006 summer with the San Antonio Silver Stars. Cross played in 18 games and averaged 1.4 points in 6.6 minutes per game.

Cross played for eight years in the WNBL (Australia) and won three championships. She was a member of the Opals but missed out on the Olympic games, as well as the 2006 World Championships when Australia won gold.
