3rd preseason win for Ramat Hen

Ramat Hen racked up its 3rd preseason win with a 69-55 W over Raanana Hertzeliya tonight in Zisman. Barbara Turner led Ramat Hen with 16 points.
Maccabi Ramat Hen 69 – Raanana Hertzeliya 55
The good news for Ramat Hen was Marianna Raguz' return to the court. Raguz, who was bothered by a strained Achilles, made her preseason debut and started the game. Raanana Hertzeliya was up 18-16 after 1, despite the fatigue from playing two days in a row (Raanana Hertzeliya beat Ramat Hasharon yesterday, 69-60). Ortal Oren was hurt in the beginning of the 2nd quarter and did not return. Ramat Hen took the lead and was up 34-27 with 3 minutes to go in the half. Tasha Butts with a 3 and La'Tangela Atkinson's fast break lay up cut it to two, but Turner with a 3 set the halftime score at 37-34.
Raguz and Rada Vidovic pushed Ramat Hen's lead to seven at the start of the 3rd, but Atkinson in a great quarter for her with 8 points drove in for a lay up twice in a row to keep Raanana Hertzeliya close. Atkinson tried a 3, got her own rebound and put it back in, Michelle Campbell finished on the break and the lead was down to 44-45 with 3:40 to play in the 3rd. Ramat Hen returned from a timeout with a much improved zone defense and held Raanana Hertzeliya to one field goal the rest of the way. Raanana Hertzeliya got to the end of the shot clock often but Ramat Hen had a lot of turnovers too and led just 52-47 after 3.
Raanana Hertzeliya continued to struggle in the 4th. DeTrina White got to the line often and Meirav Dori with a 3 pushed Ramat Hen lead to 60-49. Ramat Hen continued to increase the lead until the end with points from Turner, Raguz, Shiri Sharon & Sharon Zeevi.
Ramat Hen will play at Ramla on Thursday at 6:00pm.
