Raanana Hertzeliya signed forward Michelle Campbell of Rutgers University. Campbell is the first foreigner to sign with the team for the upcoming season.

Raanana Hertzeliya signed Michelle Campbell (22, 6'2), a Rutgers University graduate in 2006. Campbell, who started 28 out of 32 games in her senior season, averaged 8.1 points (55% 2pt, 72.9% 3pt) and 5.2 rebounds in 28.3 minutes per game. The Scarlet Knights made it to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament where they lost to Tennessee, 69-76. Campbell, who scored her 1,000th career point in February, has career averages of 8.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game over 129 games. She ranks 5th all time in field goal percentage (54.9%).

Campbell was not drafted in the WNBA draft this year, but was invited to the Washington Mystics' preseason training camp. She didn't make the team and went to play in the Korean league, where she averaged 18.5 points and 8 boards per game.

"Players with WNBA reputation aren't always the best suited players for the Israeli league," said coach Tal Natan. "Even when I brought Amber Hall, Jaclyn Johnson and Monique Coker, people didn't know them and didn't understand. I hope Campbell will join the fine list of players who proved themselves in the Israeli league, I assume that's what will happen."
