Israel must beat the Chzec Republic tomorrow in order to advance to the battle for the 9-12 spots. The Czech beat Poland earlier today, 77 - 66. The loser of the Israel/Chezc Republic game will go to the 13-16 spots games, knowing the teams who finish 15th & 16th get relegated to D2.
Israel used 11 points from Chen Nusel to take a 19-10 lead after 8 minutes, a lead that shrunk to 19-15 at the end of the 1st. At the half Israel led 37 - 26. The 2nd half was a different story, and Latvia cut the lead to 44-49 after 3. A 10-2 run gave Latvia a 62-58 lead with 4 minutes to go, and they held on to win.
