Ramla after Selwyn

Laine Selwyn spent this last season in Turkey, but folks in Ramla are hoping to see her playing for Eli Rabi's team next season, and they're not talking about the national team. Selwyn told 'Safsal' that Ramla is indeed interested, and said she wants to play for the NT regardless.

Laine Selwyn recently wrapped up her season with Besiktas, with a loss in the finals to Fenerbache. Selwyn was the team's starting PG and averaged 6.9 pts, 3.6 rebs and 2.1 assists per game. "Overall Turkey turned out to be great," she said. "At the beginning I was a little resentful but ultimately as time went by I think my decision was great. My team was really good, we didn't have the most successful season considering we lost in the championship and the cup but it was a great experience," she continued.

Ramla's Coach Eli Rabi has not made it a secret that he wants Selwyn on his team for next season. "Ramla has been talking to me for a while now. I spoke to Eli numerous times and I'm still undecided," she said. "I am definitely considering all my options at this time which does involve Russia and some other places. Of course I would love to be back in Israel but we will see what happens."

Selwyn missed the national team's last campaign due to an injury. She is hoping to come back to the roster this summer. "On my short trip to Israel this year I briefly spoke to Eli about the national team," said Selwyn. "It was unfortunate last year that I couldn't play because of my knee but I would be honored to play this year."
