Anda Ramat Hasharon opened the season with a fancy press confernce at least in Israeli standards in a hotel by the beach of Tel Aviv. The team introduced its new sponsor and roster.

Anda Ramat Hasharon now carries the name of the late Anda Zinmand, a Jew from Monaco who passed away last year from breast cancer. Her husband Henry chose honor her memory with a worldwide campaign to emphasize Love, Hope & Spirit, the values that Anda represented more than anything. Mr. Zinmand gave 600,000 NIS to Ramat Hasharon as their new sponsor.

Rachel Ostrovich, the team's chairwomen: "We completely changed the face of the club. The roster is almost brand new and our work plan has changed. Ramat Hasharon was always known for promoting social causes. We want to send Anda's messages to the public, and we have a detailed community involvement plan".

Hennry Zinmand: "I'm very proud to be associated with the women's team of Ramat Hasharon. It is very important to me because of the values Anda presented to the world. I'm sure the players will feel Anda's spirit and the team will be successful".

Itzhak Rochberger, Ramat Hasharon's mayor: "I thank Henry for the donation to the team that really does a lot for the community. I didn't need the Supreme Court's decision to realize that there's room for affirmative action in the budgeting towards women's sports. We invested a lot of funds and I'm sure we'll represent the city and the country well in Europe".

Coach Orna Ostfeld: "Only 2 players on this team were here last season. We're the only Israeli team playing in Europe, it is our 13th straight season taking part in European club competitions. We started building this team very early since we didn't win anything last season. We buffed up our front line with Chasity Melvin, who led Gidinya to the EuroLeague finals last season, and Petra Ujhley the great Hungarian. We brought back Lena Fedulova who was with us through some big season. A major signing was Joana Cuprys, the excellent forward with great range and goof post up moves who made the First Team of the preseason tournament in Turkey. We brought in some young and restless Israelis from the National Team. We released Aluma Goren and decided to let two gifted young point guards run things, Laine Selwyn and Shiri Sharon. Candace Futrell is a great combo guard who's going to improve our backcourt drastically. She's a true scorer.
