Liad Suez Karni set a career high, recorded the first triple double in Villanova history and led the Wildcats to a 6-1 record in February. The Wildcats’ leading scorer with 15.1 points averaged 16.4 points (42.2% 2pt FGs, 51.2% 3pt FGs), 6.7 boards and 4.4 assists per game in February.

Suez Karni started the month with the 1st ever triple double in Villanova’s women’s basketball history. She had 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in 39 minutes in the overtime victory at Notre Dame, 54-51. Suez Karni’s triple double was the first in theBig East since 12/29/2002 when Laine Selwyn registered 11 pts, 14 assists and 10 boards for Pittsburgh.

Following the ND game, Suez Karni scored 6 points in the 64-40 win over Cincinnati and had 7 points & 8 boards in the 56-62 loss at conference leader Rutgers. She recovered from two quiet games with a career high 34 points in a 54-51 win over Providence. Suez Karni scored 25 points in the 2nd half, our of Nova’s 30. She connected on a career best 7 threes out of 11 tries, and added 5 rebs and 2 assists. In the remaining three games in February, Suez Karni had 21 pts & 8 rebs vs. Seton Hall, 12 pts, 6 rebs & 6 assists vs. Georgetown and 21 pts, 6 rebs, 5 assists against West Virginia.
