Eli Rabi to coach Ramla

Israel's national team head coach signed for two years in "Achva" Ramla, and will begin coaching the team in division 2.

Even after the 2-time defending champs went belly up and reencarnated as a D2 team, they're still making headlines. Israel's NT coach signed with Ramla for two years.

"I made a change this year, I'm studying and working hard with the NT but I still have a lot of free time" Rabi told 'Safsal'.

Still, Ramla had trouble finding an Israeli coach for this season after last year's scandal. Isn't going there like looking for trouble?
"I like challanges, I don't usually go to places where everything's in tip top shape. I know this is a place I want to be in, I want to get Ramla back to it's natural position" he said.

As a close friend of Tal Natan, who was fired from Ramla live on TV in the finals last year, Rabi definitely knows what he's getting into. "I'm aware of all the stories, the good and bad, but I look at myself and not at other coaches who didn't want to go there this season."

When Rabi was named head coach of the NT, he left his position as Ramat Hen's head coach after 4 years, since they returned to D1. "I had 4 amazing seasons with Ramat Hen. They're professionals at the highest level and have a great management. They may not be the richest team but it's a place I'm proud of, and I hope I'll have just as much fun in Ramla".

Rabi is still going to focus on the NT even though he got a new gig. "I'm still full of energy, I want to succeed with all the national teams at all levels, and with Ramla as well. I'm not gonna cut myself any slack as far as the NT's concerned because I'm coaching Ramla now."
