Ramat Hen completes roster

Maccabi Ramat Hen signed New Zealand National Team star, Gina Farmer, and completed its roster.

Gina Farmer of New Zealand, who plays in the 4-5 positions, has signed with Maccabi Ramat Hen. Farmer (30, 6'2) played for New Zealand in the 2000 & 2004 Olympics.

Farmer signed with Hapoel Haifa/Motzkin about six weeks ago but was released. Motzkin is expected to sign a replacement in the next few days.

Last season Farmer played in the EuroLeague for Szolnoki of Hungary, scoring 17 pts and grabbing 6.7 rebs per game. In the 03/04 season, she led Szolnoki to the Europe Cup final and was named outstanding forward of the cup.

Farmer also played professionally in New Zealand, where she won the title in 2001 and 2003 with Wellington. She was named the league's Best Forward in 2001 and 2002.

In 1997, Farmer graduated from the NAIA's East Central University in Oklahoma.
