'Safsal's August Player Of The Month is the National Team's leading scorer & rebounder - Michal Epstein.
Michal Epstein was not marked as one of the NT's stars, but she played a wonderfull tournament and finished as the team's #1 scorer and rebounder averaging 14.7 points and 5.3 boards per game. Epstein proved she can create her own shot, made 56.5% of her 2 point attempts, and got to the free throw line almost twice as many times as anyone else on the team.
Epstein finished just one game with single digit scoring, and the highlight was in Bulgaria where she made 9 of 13 shots on her way to 25 points and six rebounds.
Following four years in the NCAAs, Epstein came back to Israel and finished last season with Maccabi Ashdod. This season she's supposed to be one of the league's top Israelis with Hapoel Tel Aviv.
