Alhaleem signs in Ramla

Tawona Alhaleem, one of the best scorers we've seen here, has signed with Elizur Ramla for 05/06.

Tawona Alhaleem (30, 1.80), who played three seasons in Israel, is the first foreigner to sign with the defending champs. Alhaleem joins bosman Kim MacMillan, Ina Gourevitch, Anat Goldberg & Michal Miron who laready signed with Ramla.

Alhaleem played in Istanbul last season for IUSK and was the league's top scorer. She averaged 22.5 pts, 7.5 rebs & 2.8 assists per game.

In 03/04 Alhaleem played for Maccabi Ramat Hen and helped them reach the Finals. She also led the league in scoring with 21.3 point per game on very good shooting. In 02/03 Alhaleem played for Bnei Yehuda and was the runner up for top scorer honors, averaging 22.0 points per game.
In 97/98 Alhaleem played for Elizur Rishon Lezion and averaged 25 ppg, 7 rpg and 5 apg.

Alhaleem also played in the WNBA in 2001 for Orlando, averaging 1.8 points and 1.5 boards in 9.8 minutes per game. She graduated from De'Paul in 1996.
