Hapoel Haifa/Motzkin who finished 6th last season with a disappointing 8-15 record, is gearing up for next season.

Motzkin signed guard Tamara Moore (25, 5'10) who played in Raanana Herzeliya last season, and averaged 16.7 points, 7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Moore was voted by the league's coaches as the best 2guard in the league last season, she can play both back-court positions and is exactly the type of player Motzkin lacked last year.

Moore played 7 games with the New York Liberty this summer. New York released her when the point guard they drafted, Loree Moore, recovered from a knee injury. Moore posted 1.6 pts, 1 rebs and 0.9 assists in nearly 7 minutes per game.

Motzkin also signed Gina Farmer of New Zealand, who plays in the 4-5 positions. Farmer (30, 6'2) played for New Zealand in the 2000 & 2004 Olympics.

Last season Farmer played in the EuroLeague for Szolnoki of Hungary, scoring 17 pts and grabbing 6.7 rebs per game. In the 03/04 season, she led Szolnoki to the Europe Cup final and was named outstanding forward of the cup.

Farmer also played professionally in New Zealand, where she won the title in 2001 and 2003 with Wellington. She was named the league's Best Forward in 2001 and 2002.

In 1997, Farmer graduated from the NAIA's East Central University in Oklahoma.

Moore & Farmer join Shimrit Gigi, Adi Kindler and Inbal Mizrachi who signed with Motzkin earlier in the offseason.
