Nolan excelled, the East lost

Deanna Nolan was the top scorer with 20 points in the WNBA's All-Star game and even had time to miss a dunk, but the West won 122-99. Sheryl Swoopes was named MVP, Lisa Leslie did get her dunk in.

The West prevailed again in the WNBA's traditional All Star game, 122-99. Deanna Nolan, of the Detroit Shock who will play for Anda Ramat Hasharon this season led the East with 20 pts in 22 minutes off the bench. Her teammate in Detorit & Ramat Hasharon, Cheryl Ford, had 4 pts and 5 rebs in 12 minutes.

The West made 12 out of 24 threes and scored 70 pts in the 2nd half. With 28 seconds to go, the 5'11 Nolan attempted a dunk but it didn't go down. On the other end Leslie tried the same and completed the one hander slam right before the buzzer.
