Walker moves to Charlotte
Lior Klinger ,07/07/2005
After being waved by the Detroit Shock, Ayana Walker who will play for Hapoel Tel Aviv next season was picked up by Charlotte.

Walker started the season real well in Detroit this year, starting 11 out of 12 games. She avergaed 4.9 pts & 3.9 rebs in 20 minutes per game with the Shock. But when Detorit was able to obtain Plenette Pierson from Phoenix and get Swin Cash back in the lineup, Walker became expendable. She was released July 3rd and shortly signed by the Sting. For Hapoel this means that Walker won't be making the playoffs now most likely and could arrive in Israel sooner.
