Jerusalem signing players

ASA Jerusalem is preparing for the upcoming season. The team signed two bosmans, an American and six Israelis.


Guard Jaynetta Saunders (25,5'11) is the team's new foreigner. Saunders graduated from Texas A&M in 2001. She recorded nearly 22 points per game as a senior. Saunders was the 27th pick in the 2001 WNBA draft, and played for the Phoenix Mercury in the 2001 and 2002 seasons. In 2004 she played in the NWBL with Birmingham Power.

Forward Tiana Rus who played in Jerusalem last year is back with the team for the upcoming season. Svetlana Jurack is the team's second bosman. In addition, Jerusalem signed Orna Kesler, Hila Suvol, Rotem Gorfinkel, Hagar Ihezkeli, Simha Globerman and Bat El Lazmi.
Coach Boaz Tieb will continue as coach.
The team is now looking for funds to bring in a foriegn center.
