Doron named All American Finalist

Maryland sophomore Shay Doron was selected as one of six members of the Kodak/WBCA Region II All-American Women's Basketball Team. She is the first Terrapin to earn the honor in 12 years and just the ninth overall. Doron, along with 47 other players from eight regions, are finalists for the 12-member Kodak All-America team, which will be announced at the Final Four on April 2, 2005 in Indianapolis.

Doron was already named to the All-ACC team, her 527 points this season tied for the seventh-most single-season point total in school history, she broke Maryland's sophomore class scoring record. She has also broken the school record for free throws made (138), a mark which she set just one season ago. With 17.6 points per game, Doron has ranked among the top five in the ACC in scoring the entire season.
