Round 15 First Team

For only the 2nd time this season, the round MVP is Israeli-born, Tamar Maoz of Raanana Herzeliya. Ashdod sent a player to the first team for the first time, and Chanel Wright-Greene got a little consolation prize from us.

Round 15 MVP: Tamar Maoz
Maoz abused Ramat Hen’s zone all night long with a truly amazing shooting performance. Eight for 11 from beyond the arc, and also four for nine from 2pt range on her way to a career high of 30 points. Despite her incredibly hot hand, Maoz passed up quite a few shots to dish out seven assists. Maoz’ shooting clinic should not come as a total surprise to the ‘Safsal’ stat system users, which pointed out that Maoz takes 6.4 three pointers at home before the Ramat Hen game and hits most of them.

Round 15 First Team
Tamar Maoz - Unforgettable game for Maoz in Raanana Herzeliya’s 4th straight win.

Ina Gourevitch - Led Ramla to a win at Bnei Yehuda with 17 points on good shooting and seven boards.

Shaun Gortman - Led Ashdod to its 1st win of the season with 23 points and 11 rebounds.

Chanel Wright-Greene - Did everything humanly possible to try and push Hapoel Tel Aviv to a sensational win over Ramat Hasharon. 44 points, 14 rebounds and five steals couldn’t get a win but for our First Team it’s more than enough.

DeTrina White - 14 points and 18 rebounds for the league’s undisputed rebounding leader. White was six for nine from the field and was the most aggressive player on the court.
