Upset in Make Up Games

In two make up games in the women's league, Hapoel Tel Aviv defeated Ramat Hasharon 88-87, and Ashdod secured 2nd place with a convincing win over Ramla.
Hapoel Tel Aviv 88 – Electra Ramat Hasharon 87
Hapoel Tel Aviv lost a 26 point lead in this game before finally winning by 1, their 3rd win of the season. It was 58-32 at the half. Ramat Hasharon cut it to 17 after 3 quarters, and was down 2 with 2 minutes to play.
For a change, Hapoel held on in the closing moments and completed an upset that could help them later on as they try to avoid relegation. Merav Dori turned the ball over and saw Iciss Tillis hit two free throws to increase the lead to four. Ambrosia Anderson's 3 made it a 1 point game but didn't prevent the loss. The game meant nothing to Ramat Hasharon who was also without Sheri Sam, but it doesn't take away from the credit Hapoel deserves.

Ashdod 101 – Ramla 81
Without Deanna Jackson who was sidelined with a strained knee and under the cloud of coaching change rumors, Ramla lost to Ashdod for the 2nd time this season.
Ashdod trailed 41-43 after a tight first half but beat each of the next two quarters by 11. With the win Ashdod locked up 2nd place in the league, even a loss by under 12 points would have been enough for that. Rivi Grinboym led the winners with 26 points with 7 for 11 from 3pt land, part of 10 for 28 for Ashdod as a team.
On Monday Ramla will visit Natanya with 3rd place at stake.
