Ramat Hasharon added two big signings that round up a strong roster: Laine Selwyn resigned for next season, Sheri Sam will make the move from Ramla.

Electra Ramat Hasharon finished building its roster for the upcoming season with two important signings. Laine Selwyn (28, 5'6), Israel's National Team point guard who averaged 10.1 points and 3.9 assists per game for Ramat Hasharon last year, is back for another season. Like last season, Selwyn will split time at PG with Nomi Kolodny, a combination that worked great last year all the way to the title.

This will be Selwyn's 6th season in Israel, after previously playing for Haifa/Motzkin and Ramla. She's one of the most decorated players in recent years, having won the last three Israeli league championships (to go along with three Israeli cup winnings). This summer Selwyn played with the Israeli NT in the European championship, averaging 6.3 points and 4.0 assists per game.

Ramat Hasharon's 3rd foreigner will be Sheri Sam (35, 6'1), who first arrived in Israel in the middle of the 07/08 season. She averaged 19 points and 7 boards for Ashdod that season. Last year Sam spent a few weeks with Raanana Hertzelia before signing with Ramla. She averaged 16.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists in the playoffs, helping Ramla make the finals.

"After a long and exhausting summer, where the financial aspect called most of the shots, we were able to bring together an excellent team", said coach Orna Ostfeld. "I'm very happy about Laine & Sheri, because they're winners. They're leaders, experienced players who proved themselves on the highest levels and I'm sure they'll have an impact off the court as well".

Selwyn & Sam join Kia Vaughn, Ambrosia Anderson, Merav Dori, Shira Haelyon, Ayelet Cohen, Nomi Kolodny & Yael Aharonov.
