Ambrosia Anderson and Liberty rookie Kia Vaughn have signed with the defending champions of Electra Ramat Hasharon for the upcoming season.

Ramat Hasharon has finally made a move this offseason, aside from letting their Israeli Capitan (Liad Suez Karin) leave for Natanya.

The defending champs signed forward Ambrosia Anderson (25, 6'0), who played in Protugal last season for Olivia Coimbra and was the 2nd leading scorer in the Europe Cup with 22 points per game. She shot well from everywhere and added 8.5 rebounds per game. Anderson and Coimbra played in Ramla last season, and she had 18 points in an excellent showing despite her teams' loss.

Anderson is a 2006 BYU grad and was drafted 17th in the 2006 WNBA draft. She played in 4 WNBA games in her rookie year, one with the Sun and three with NY. In college she was the MWC player of the year with 18.0 points and 7.4 boards per game.

Kia Vaughn (22, 6'3) is a Rutgers grad, drafted 8th in the last WNBA draft by the NY Liberty. Vaughn, a New York native, finished her Rutgers career as the school's all-time leading blocker. she's also one of 4 players who reached 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in their career. In her last season she averaged 9.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. In 2007 she helped the Scarlet Knights to the NCAA championship game. Vaughn is currently averaging 2.5 points and 2.2 boards in 8.6 minutes per game for the Liberty. She's considered a big WNBA potential mainly due to the fact that despite her height, she's quick and has good technique both facing the basket and posting up. She played in all of the USA young national teams and won a gold medal with the U21 team in 2007.

"Anderson proved herself in Europe last season, she was one of the best players in the EuroCup", said Ramat Hasharon coach Oran Ostfeld. "Vaughn is just the type of player I like, talented, young and a good player you can work with".
