Natanya has had the busiest offseason so far, they signed Israel’s national team captain Liad Suez Karni who played in Ramat Hasharon last season. They also signed Marshae Dotson, a 5’11 center out of the University of Florida. She scored 15.4 points and added 6.9 rebounds in 25.6 minutes per game last season with the Gators. Natanya also added Shiri Sharon, who is leaving Ramat Hen after four years, and U20 national team player Roni Ben Nun who played in Bnei Yehuda last season.
Holon has also been pretty busy, after signing Tal Natan as coach the club signed Bat El Lazmi from Ashdod, Tamara Ransburg who played in Natanya last season and led the league in rebounding (13.1 rebounds per game to go along her 19.1 points per game), Inbar Orion and Revital Carmon.
Ashdod re-signed coach Adan Inbar and guard Natasha Lacy for another season, and added Ornit Shwartz from Raanana Hertzeliya and Rivi Grinboym from Bnei Yehuda. Grinboym led all Israelis in scoring last season with 16.1 points per game, she has spent the last four seasons in Bnei Yehuda.
Eli Rabi decided to leave Ramla after three seasons, his long time assistant Noa Rikanati was named the new head coach.
In other news, Bnei Yehuda announced that due to financial difficulties the club would not participate in the D1 league this upcoming season, and will only play in D2. As a result, Tel Kabir who was relegated at the end of last season will return for another and hopefully less pathetic season in D1.
