Changes in Ashdod & Motzkin

The first move of the break came from the most desperate team. Maccabi Ashdod signed a new foreigner – American point guard, Brandi McCain.
Haifa/Motzkin, another desperate team, replaced a bosman.


Maccabi Ashdod, the only winless team in the league, wasted no time and has already signed a new foreigner. Brandi McCain, 5’3 and 25 years old, signed with Maccabi Ashdod who released Jocleyn Penn & LaTonya Johnson before the break.

McCain is a 02’ grad of the Uiniversity of Florida, where she averaged 15.9 points and 4.9 assists per game in her senior year. She was drafted 24th overall in the 2002 WNBA draft by Cleveland. She played in 31 games averaging 2.7 points and 1.3 assists in 12.6 minutes per game. The following season she tried out with the Sparks but was released before playing a game.

Hapoel Haifa/Motzkin has released Branka Vukicevic and signed 31 year old Ukraine guard/forward Svitlana Boiko who played in Bnei Yehuda three years ago.
