The defending champs released ex Ramat Hen Matalya Belvin and signed ex Raanana Hertzelia's Sheri Sam. Sam is Ramla's 11th foreigner this season and 4th one who comes from inside the league.

After Matalya Belvin didn't work out as Ramla's new point guard and following Tamara Moore's arrival from Ashdod, Ramla decided to part with Belvin. Sheri Sam, who played two games with Raanana Hertzelia as Charde Houston's temporary fill in, signed in her place.

Belvin played six games with Ramla and averaged 13.5 points per game. In four games against top 6 teams, Belvin shot very poorly from outside and had more turnovers than assists. Tamara Moore will now need to carry the load of running the team, assisted by Inbal Mizrachi.

Sheri Sam (34, 6'0) played in Ashdod last season, she joined the team in round 12 and played 11 games. She averaged 19.1 points (54.2% 2pt, 27.3% 3pt, 62.7% FT) and 7.0 rebounds in 34.7 minutes per game.

Sam started this season in Greece, but left after 9 rounds early in December. Sam started the season well with 30, 16 and 12 point games but in the remaining 5 games her scoring dropped to 4.2 per game as her minutes decreased. Over 8 games she averaged 9.8 points and 1.6 rebounds in 23.5 minutes per game. In five Europe Cup game she registered 15.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in 34 minutes per game.

Sam won her 2nd WNBA Title this summer with Detroit, to go along with her 2004 championship ring with Seattle. She has played 10 seasons in the WNBA and over 300 games, her career average is 10.2 points per game.
