Round 8 First Team

We are proud to announce a new record – we managed to gather all five boxscores in a day and a half. We’d like to thank everyone who helped, and here’s hoping this won’t be a one time achievement. Anyway back to business, round 8 MVP is Limor Mizrachi, who came up big in crunch time vs. Ramla who also has a representative on the 1st Team.

Round 8 MVP – Limor Mizrachi
We waited nearly half a season, give or take seven games and one half, but we finally saw the Limor we know and love. She had 22 points, 18 after halftime, and five assists against Ramla. Down eight with about three minutes to play, she sank a three with a few seconds on the shot clock and dished an assist to Soni Music on the next possession. Those were just two of her critical plays. It seems like Mizrachi built on her good showing in Motzkin last week and is back to her regular form, which makes Ramat Hen a very dangerous team.

Round 8 First Team
Tamar Maoz - When Tamara Moore, the team’s leading scorer, took a big hit early and had a tough night, Maoz raised her game. She finished with 22 points, on 5 for 7 from down town, and led Raanana Hertzelia to an important win over Hapoel Tel Aviv which snapped a four game losing streak.
Limor Mizrachi - Came up huge in the 2nd half to help Ramat Hen beat the defending champs and cup holders, and move up ahead of Ramla in the standings.
>U>Shameka Christon - We tend to always pick only players from teams that won, but Christon really left us no choice but to break that rule. Ramla’s young forward was just a joy to watch, as she finished her best game of the season with 29 points on great shooting from all ranges, and added seven rebounds.
Ayana Walker - Walker barely got any passes thrown her way in the first half, but didn’t get frustrated and scored 17 points after halftime. She finished with 20 points & 10 boards, and hit some big free throws down the stretch.
LeCoe Willingham - Matched her season high with 23 points on good shooting including 2 of 4 from downtown. Willingham blocked Tel Kabir last shot attempted the could have forced overtime.
