"We played 15 good minutes tonight" said Eli Rabi after the game, a pretty accurate assessment. Ramla did just enough to beat Holon, but on a night when Anosike and White combine for 13 points, there were no complaints. Holon can only wonder what would've happened had they not had a horrifying day at the free throw and three point line, as they still managed to get within five midway through the forth. 71 – 62 was the final.

Olena Ogorodnikova and Annemarie Parau were the only ones in double figures for Ramla today with 20 & 15 points respectively, but Ramla didn’t need much more to overcome Holon and get their first win of the season.
"Six of 19 from the line, 2 for 23 from three, and still it was a five point game towards the end. To win in Ramla you need to shoot a little better", Meir Eliyaho said the only thing you'd expect him to. Holon trailed by 15 early in the 3rd and by about 9 or 10 for most of the game, but somehow got within five with five minutes to go, 55 – 60. But Ogorodnikova answered right back from the line and Parau nailed her third three of three tries to seal the deal.
"We're in a building process, I didn’t know what to expect. In the first half we played great for 15 minutes and led by 14-15, but when they got back in it we felt a little pressure and the game got stuck. At the end all we wanted was to win", Rabi summed up. "Tan White and Nicky Anosike didn’t get into the game offensively today but overall I really like our roster and the more we win now, the better things will be in the future".
Anosike scored inside and out and had a block on defense to spark Ramla early, and the fact those were four of her six points in the game didn’t make much of a difference. Parau and White hit from outside to help Ramla take a 14 – 3 lead while Holon couldn't get anything going in the set game and was very soft on defense. Following a timeout Holon speed things up and was able to score in transition, led by Edwina Brown who was heating up, 12 – 17. But the softness on defense continued and Ramla kept running with another Parau three and five straight by Ogorodnikova, 25 – 14.
Not much changed early in the 2nd as Ramla opened a 30 – 18 lead even though Holon was getting a bunch of offensive rebounds. Ramla's transition game looked sharp with nice assists and baskets while Holon kept struggling and not defending, they had just one team foul in the entire quarter. Ogorodnikova used her mismatch on defense to score five more and make it 39 – 29 at the half.
The gap grew to 48 – 33, biggest lead of the game, after Ogorodnikova hit from three and White found Parau on the break. Adi Lux sparked a 10 – 2 Holon run with a three while Ramla began to settle for long jumpers and looked confused without Parau and Gourevitch. Holon got within eight a couple of times and had a three in the air, but on a 2 for 23 night, they didn’t fall. Ortal Oren stopped the run with an important short jumper, 52 – 45 after three.
Rabi kept his best lineup on the bench a little longer and Holon got enough offensive boards to stay close. Rabi put all his foreigners in for the first time tonight and after Bar Gilinski cut it to 55 – 60 with five to play, Ogorodnikova and Parau had the answer and made it 10 again with two minutes to play.
