Electra Ramat Hasharon had to release originally signed Tasha Humphry due to her knee injury and instead signed Ebony Hoffman of the Indiana Fever, Hoffman was recently named the WNBA's Most Improved Player for 2008.

Ebony Hoffman (6'2, 26) won the WNBA's Most Improved Player award two weeks ago after receiving 31 out of the possible 38 votes. In her 5th season in the WNBA Hoffman became a full-time starter and averaged a career high 30.7 minutes per game. She recorded career highs in points (10.4), rebounds (7.8), assists (1.8), steals (1.4) per game and field goal percentage (46.5%). Hoffman led the WNBA in total offensive rebounds with 94 on the season.

Hoffman is a big player but very versatile, she's got a soft shooting touch (from 3 as well), and surprising quickness which she uses along with her court vision to get steals. She's very aggressive on the boards and very competitive. Off the court Hoffman is known for her great personality.

Hoffman was the 9th overall pick in the 2004 WNBA draft out of USC. She was named to the All Pac-10 1st Team three times, and ended her career with over 1.500 points, 1,000 rebounds and 245 steals. She averaged 14.6 points and 8.7 rebounds over four years.

Last year Hoffman was married in October and went over to Turkey in January to play for the eventual champion, Fenerbache. She averaged 5.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. In 06/07 she played for the champion in Lithuania and made it to the EuroLeague's 1/8th finals, averaging 7.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. In 05/06 she played in Italy and recorded 10.8 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.
