Israel's national team point guard who spent the last two seasons in Ramla has signed with Dynamo Moscow for the upcoming season, and will play in the Europe Cup. "Israel will always be my home", said Selwyn to 'Safsal'.

After two seasons in which she won the Israeli championship & cup twice with Ramla, Laine Selwyn is going back to play in Europe. Selwyn, who averaged 9.1 points, 3.5 assists and 3.1 steals per game in the qualifying tournament with the national team this summer, has signed with Dynamo Moscow.

Selwyn will reunite with her former Ramla teammate, Plenette Pierson, in what looks to be one of the stronger teams in the Russian league. Also on the team are Anete Jekabsone-Zogota and Belinda Snell. In her last season in Ramla, Selwyn averaged 10.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.

Selwyn and the Israeli national team celebrated the win over Great Britain on Saturday night which sent Israel to the 2009 EuroBasket. The next morning she flew back home before joining Dynamo Moscow near the end of the month. "This is a good opportunity for me, they have one of the best leagues in Europe. It's an accomplishment as a player," said Selwyn. "Israel will always be my home, I love it here and I know I'll be back", she continued, "I'm excited and looking forward to the challange".

If Electra Ramat Hasharon win their qualifying series in the Europe Cup, they will host Selwyn and her new team on November 13th.
