Ramat Hasharon Sign Kiesha Brown

Electra Ramat Hasharon completed its roster with the signing of LA Sparks guard Kiesha Brown, who played in Spain last season.

Kiesha Brown (29, 5'9), graduate of Georgia University 2001, is Ramat Hasharon's 2nd foreigner. Brown is currently playing her 2nd straight season with the LA Sparks, and in 10 games this year she averaged 5.2 points and 2.2 assists in 17.2 minutes per game. This is Brown's seventh season in the WNBA and she's been on five different teams. In 184 games she averaged 3.3 points and 1.3 assists in 11.0 minutes per game.

In Europe Brown has played her last three seasons in Spain. Last season in Extrugasa she averaged 13.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 3.1 turnovers in 34.7 minutes per game. In Eurocup play she averaged 14.2 points and 2.6 assists per game. Brown was the only American on the team who finished 7th in the Spanish league with a 12 – 14 record. In the cup quarter finals Extrugasa lost to Liron Cohen and Leon.

Brown's best season overseas was in 06/07 when she recorded 16.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Before coming to Spain, she played in the Czech Republic and in Russia.

"Kiesha Brown is a player that fits the roster we built. We don’t have one big star but we have five players who can do everything and three more coming off the bench", said coach Orna Ostfeld.

Brown joins Ramat Hasharon's roster which included Liad Suez Karni, Merav Dori, Nomi Kolodny, Ayelet Cohen, Erin Philips, Abiola Wabara and Tasha Humphrey.
