Ashdod Signs Tamara Moore

Tamara Moore, who played in Israel in 05/06 and 06/07, will return to Israel next season and play for Ashdod.

Maccabi Ashdod signed Tamara Moore (28, 1.80) for the 08/09 season. Moore played in France last season for Saint Amand, where she averaged 11.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists and a league high 3.7 steals per game. Moore is a very versatile player who can do everything on the floor and play inside and out.

Moore first landed in Israel in 04/05 when she played for Raanana Hertzelia. She was named to the league's first team with averages of 16.7 points, 7.0 boards and 3.8 assists per game. In the 05/06 season she moved to Haifa Motzkin where she averaged 20.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists and also made the 1st team. The following year she helped Ramat Hen to the playoff semis and put up 16.1 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

Moore joins Sherill Baker, Brashida Elohim, Bat El Lazmi, Karin Agasi and Yael Aharonov who are also signed with Ashdod.
