Holon Gets Brandi McCain

After inking Ayana Walker who played in Ashdod last season, Holon has signed Brandi McCain who's been the face of Ashdod for the past four seasons.
Brandi McCain (28, 5'3) is leaving Ashdod, but not Israel. The most Israeli American in the league who has played for Ashdod since the middle of the 04/05 season until the 07/08 season, has signed with Holon and will join her teammate last season, Ayana Walker. Ashdod finished 5th in the league last year, one spot ahead of Holon.
McCain's season numbers declined this past season compared to her previous two full seasons at Ashdod. McCain, Ashdod's captain, averaged 14.7 points and 3.7 assists per game in 07/08. Ashdod's lack of consistency from the other back court position along with some nagging injuries were part of the reason. In the 06/07 season McCain recorded 20.5 points and 3.5 assists per game. In the 05/06 season McCain led the Israeli league in scoring (21.7 ppg) and assists (6.5 apg).
The 08/09 season will be McCain's 5th straight season in Israel and first outside of Ashdod.
