Natanya Signs Shwartz

Ornit Shwartz, Raanana Hertzeliya's team captain for the past two seasons, signed with the newcomer to Division I, Natanya, for the next two seasons.
After a successful season with Raanana Hertzeliya which ended in a loss in the finals, Ornit Shwartz (28, 6'2) signed with her hometown team which qualified for DI this past season, Elizur Natanya. Shawrtz averaged 6.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in 25.2 minutes per game in the 07/08 season, her 2nd straight in Raanana Hertzeliya. Before that she played two years in Ramat Hasharon and won two Israeli Cups. Previously she played in Ramat Hen, Ramla (won the championship there), Italy (Priolo) and Willam & Mary college.
Natanya is returning to D1 for the first time since 1977/78.
