After six years away from home (four in college and two in Europe), Israeli national team Captain Liad Zuez Karni is returning to the Israeli league to play for Electra Ramat Hasharon, where she played before. Merav Dori re-signed with Ramat Hasharon also.

"It was natural that when I return to play in Israel it would be for Ramat Hasharon. It wasn't easy for me to play away from home in the last two years, away from my family, and I'm glad to be back", said Liad Suez Karni in a press conference today.

Suez Karni grew up in Even Yehuda before moving to Ramat Hasharon, she won the cup with Raanana and the championship& cup with Ramat Hasharon. In 2004 she left to the U.S to play for Villanova, where she spent four years. Suez Karni was named All-Big East as a senior and recorded the school's only triple double.

In the 2006/07 season after graduating, Suez Karni joined Visla Krakow, Poland, before moving to Nice, France in the middle of the season. Last season she played in Provence, and averaged 7.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 25 minutes per game as a starter.

Merav Dori signed for her 2nd straight season in Ramat Hasharon. Dori, who celebrated her 22nd birthday this week, scored 5.8 points in nearly 20 minutes per game last season.
