Cohen Named PG of the Year in Spain

The Spanish League 1st Team of the year was announced today. Liron Cohen who led Leon to the Cup Finals and to the Final Four made the 1st Team as the best point guard in the league.
Now it's official. Liron Cohen's great season in Spain was recognized by the league's coaches who picked her as the point guard of the year for the 07/08 season. Cohen averaged 13.0 points (53.4% 2pt, 41.9% 3pt, 79.2% FT) and 3.0 assists in 30.0 minutes per game. Cohen led Leon to one basket away from winning the Spanish Cup, and had to settle for being named the MVP of the tournament after posting 16.7 points & 5.3 assists over 3 games. In her best game of the season, Cohen scored 33 points and led Leon to a win over eventual champs Valencia.
Cohen's season in Spain came to an end with a semi finals loss to Valencia. Earlier this week Cohen signed with Kosit for next season, the Slovakian champions, who play in the Euroleague.
Completing the 1st Team are Elena Tornikido, Sancho Little, Le'coe Willingham and the MVP – anna Montanana.
