Now it's official, Israel's national team and Ramla's point guard has made it into the Indiana Fever's final roster and became the 2nd Israeli in the WNBA.

After Shay Doron and Liron Cohen were cut from training camp, Israel's last surviver is Laine Selwyn who made the Fever's final roster. Selwyn, who celebrates her 27th birthday today, could make her debut on Saturday as the Fever host Monique Currie's Mystics.

Selwyn arrived in Israel after a 4-year successful college career at Pitt, and has won 2 championships and 3 cups so far. In 03/04 she played in Haifa Motzkin and led them to the playoffs semi finals and cup finals. In 04/05 she moved to Ramat Hasharon where she won her first title, the Israeli Cup, and led the Israeli league in assists. Selwyn then played one season in Besiktas, Turkey, before returning to Israel and signing with Ramla. She's been in Ramla for two seasons and helped them win the championship and cup in both. This year Selwyn averaged 10.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.0 steals per game.

Selwyn was also Israel's NT starting PG in the last two tournaments. Last summer, when Israel qualified for the European Championships, Selwyn recorded 9.0 points and 2.2 assists per game.
