Selwyn Signs with Fever

Laine Selwyn, point guard of Elizur Ramla and Israel's national team, signed a training camp contract with the WNBA's Indiana Fever.

Laine Selwyn won't have much time to rest once Ramla's season is over, which could happen either tonight if they win the Championship in game 4 of the finals or on Monday. Selwyn has signed a training camp contract with Indiana and will join the team as soon as the finals series is over.

The Fever are predicted to be one of the stronger teams in the WNBA this season, especially in the eastern conference. They finished last season with a 21 – 13 record and lost to Detroit in the Eastern Conference Finals after losing superstar, Tamika Catchings, to an Achilles tendon injury. During the offseason the Fever also added Connecticut's star shooting guard, Katie Douglas.

Indiana's starting point guard is Australian Tully Bevilaqua, a tough and experienced 36 year old who's not showing too many signs of slowing down. The back up point guard is KB Sharp, a 4 year veteran with a fine history in the Israeli league as well. Also in camp are a few more familiar faces from our league in Kasha Terry, LaToya Bond, Constance Jinks and Angelina Williams.
