Ramat Hasharon's great forward helped the team finish the month with a 7 – 2 record, including five league wins. Deanna Jackson helped Ramat Hasharon look like a real title contender again. It's a great shame that this is her last month on the court this season.
The month of January, up until the last minute of the game on the 31st, was very kind to Deanna Jackson and Ramat Hasharon. In league play the red won all five of their games, including big wins over Ramla, Ramat Hen and Raanana Hertzelia, in large part thanks to 20.2 points (57.4% 2PT) and 9.0 rebounds per game by Jackson.
In Europe Ramat Hasharon made the Eurocup quarter finals with a wonderful display by Jackson in game two of the 1/8 finals with 24 points on 10 of 13 shooting and nine rebounds. Overall in three Eurocup games she averaged 15.7 points (56.7% 2PT) and 8.3 boards in 32.3 minutes per game.
In the last game of the month on the 31st, in the first game of the quarter final series against Extrugasa, Jackson hurt her knee with six seconds left to play. A few days later it turned out to be a torn ACL, and Jackson was done for the season. It's definitely a big blow to Ramat Hasharon, and the league as well.
