Electra Ramat Hasharon signed Monique Coker today to replace the injured Deanna Jackson in the Israeli league. Coker played in Israel three seasons ago.

Monique Coker (25, 6'2) is the new foreigner for Ramat Hasharon. Coker played in Turkey this offseason, and faced Ramat Hasharon in the early stage of the Europe Cup. Her team was 6th in the Turkish league standings with a 9-6 record. Coker averaged 16.2 points and 9.5 boards per game in Turkey, and 20.0 points with 9.8 rebounds a game in the Eurocup.

Coker spent the 05/06 season in Israel with Raanana Hertzeliya. She finished the season ranked 3rd in the top scorers list with 21.3 points, and 2nd in rebounding with 11.8 rebounds per game but Raanana Hertzeliya didn't make the top 4. Coker signed with Ramat Hen for the 06/07 season but changed her mind in August 2006 after the war in Lebanon started, she signed in Poland instead.

"She is a great offensive player who has proven what she can do in many teams across Europe. She is the best replacement we were able to find for Deanna Jackson that fit our team", said coach Orna Ostfeld.
