A few days after announcing they signed Taj McWilliams Franklin, one of the most experienced and appreciated post players in the WNBA, Ramat Hen released today the signing of an up and coming WNBA star. Armintie Price (22, 5'9) was the 3rd overall pick in the WNBA draft by Chicago, after a decorated college career at Ole' Miss. Price became a starter for the Sky and helped the young club become serious playoff contenders.

Price is especially known for her amazing athletic ability, which helped her win 15 state titles in track and field in high school, and of course become a terrific basketball player. Her game is based on drives, she's extremely quick, a great defender and an excellent rebounder for her size. Price averaged 7.9 points (40.9% FGs), 6.0 boards and 2.9 assists in 26.3 minutes per game for Chicago in her rookie year.

Price started the winter season in Russia, but the club got into financial problems and she needed to leave. While in Russia, Price averaged 14.7 points, 6.8 boards and 2.6 assists in 28 minutes per game over eight games. The team is last in the league with a 0-10 record.

In college, Price was a big star at Mississippi and helped the team make it to the Elite 8 for the first time in school history, after knocking off the defending champs – Maryland. She scored 19.1 points and dished 4.2 assists per game as a senior, and led the entire NCAA in steals with 3.7 per game. She won the SEC's Defensive Player of the Year award and become the only player in conference history to win the award twice. Price was the only player in the SEC who ranked in the top 5 in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals. She finished her career with over 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 400 assists and 400 steals – and became only the 2nd player in history to accomplish that, joining Cheryl Miller.
