Hapoel Signs Tamara Bowie

Tamara Bowie is Hapoel Tel Aviv's new foreigner, she will make her debut on Monday against Tel Kabir.
Forward Tamara Bowie (26, 1.85), Ball State graduate of 2003, is Hapoel's new foreigner. Bowie was selected 36th in the 2003 WNBA draft by Washington but didn't make the roster. In her senior season at Ball State she averaged 20.6 points and 8.4 rebounds, picking up All-MAC Player of The Year award for the 2nd time in her career. She is Ball State's all-time leading scorer.
Bowie started this season in Latvia, she averaged 17.5 points and 6.5 boards in two games. In 06/07 she played in Iceland, where she averaged 30.5 points and 14.8 boards a game.
