Maccabi Lands Cummings and Bluthental

Coach Kattache and General Manager Sherf start to build Maccabi for next year: Vonteego Cummings and David Bluthental has signed with the yellows for next year.
Only a week and a half since Maccabi appointed Oded Kattache as their head coach and Zvika Sherf as their general manager, the team starts to shape up. After signing Terence Morris, Maccabi also inked David Bluthental and Vonteego Cummings.
Cummings (31, 1.89 m) graduated from Pittsburg and was drafted by Indiana with the 26th pick of 1999. He played 2 seasons with the Warriors, but after a short period with the 76ers, went to Europe.
He has played with Virtus Bologne, Vrsac and Partizan Belgard, with which he won 2 Serbian championships. Last year he averaged 12.9 points and 3.4 assists per game in the Euroleague.
Bluthental will return to Israel after 3 years in Italy. The ISR-USA forward has won the dreble with the yellows in 03/04, and since then has played with Treviso, Virtus and Climamio Bologne.
