Jerusalem Easily Wins in Givat

After the disappointing knock-out from ULEB Cup, Hapoel Jerusalem returned to the league, and had no problems with Givat Shmuel on the road, 97-78. Austin, with 23 points, led a 20-0 run in the first half which sealed the deal. The rest of the games - today.

League Standings

Hapoel Jerusalem had no problems whatsover after the loss in Zeleznik. Givat Shmuel had an early 5-point lead, but Austin's back-to-back three's helped Jerusalem to the final 10 points of the quarter, and the first 10 of the next period, and when Givat Shmuel finally woke up, it was a 16-point game.

Morris, Pniny and Hajaj didn't let Davis and Straight shave the lead, and the rest of the game was garbage time. Meir Tapiro, who was ill, played just 3 minutes in the end of the first half.

Austin tallied 23 points in 7 of 8 shooting, Morris added 19 and Bowers 18 with 6 helpers. Davis and Straight were the only locals with double-figures, scoring 24 and 23 respectively.
