Felix Closes Maccabi's Roster

Only two weeks before the beginning of the Euroleague, Maccabi Tel Aviv finally closes their roster, with the signing of Noel Felix, who was cut from Seattle's training camp.

Noel Felix, a 2.05 meter forward who celebrated his 26th birthday last week, completes Maccabi Tel Aviv's roster for the upcoming season. He was cut tonight from Seattle SuperSonics' training camp, and a couple of hours later was already a Yellow member.

Felix graduated from Fresno State in 2003, where he averaged 8.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game as a senior. Never drafted, he has played in China, Italy's second league, the Phillipines and mostly the CBA, but not even once finished the season in the same team.

After spending the 2005 summer with the weak Team USA for the tournament of the Americas, he has played the 05/6 season with Sioux Falls of the CBA, together with Rodney Buford. In March the forward was called by Seattle, who released him one day before the season, and he finally fulfilled his NBA dream, averaging 1.5 points and 1.1 rebounds in 12 games with the Sonics.

Felix will make his debut next week in Ohio against the Cleveland Cavaliers. His contract will be for 2 seasons with Maccabi.
