Ashkelon Signs Miles and Yakusi

Ironi Ashkelon signed their first foreigner, Ellis Miles, who graduated from Louisville in 2005, and also added Moshe Yakusi from Hapoel Tel Aviv.

After Deon Thomas eventually broke the oral agreement with Ironi Ashkelon, the team decided to sign Moshe Yakusi for the Israeli big man spot. The forward averaged 4.5 points and 4.9 rebounds last year for Hapoel Tel Aviv.

The team also signed a foreigner foreigner, Ellis Miles, who graduated from Louisville in 2005. In his last season under Coach Pitino he averaged 10.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists, as the team made the NCAA Final Four.

The 25 year-old forward, 2.03 meter tall, played last season in Reggio Calabria of Italy, where he recorded 15.9 points and 10.3 rebounds per game, before moving to Charleroi, where he played just 3 games to finish the season.
