Maccabi Inks Bynum

Maccabi Tel Aviv replaces Will Solomon with Will Bynum, who graduated from Georgia Tech last summer and will become one of the team's youngest foreigners ever.
Will Bynum (23.5, 1.83 m) signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv for next season. The Chicago native played two seasons in Arizona as Jason Gardner's backup, but transferred to Georgia Tech from which he graduated in 2005.
He carried them to the NCAA Tournament final in 2004, after a game-winning layup in the semifinals against Oklahoma, and scored a team-high 17 points in the championship game loss to Uconn.
Never drafted, he played last season in the NBDL, which he led with 24.0 points and also added 6.7 assists, which made him the Rookie of the year. Golden State signed him for the final 15 games of the season, where he averaged 3.6 points and 1.3 assists.
Only two other foreigners of Maccabi Tel Aviv were signed in a younger age than his: Beno Udrih who became yellow by the age of 20 and Ed Horton who was just 22 when playing for Maccabi in the early 90's.
